    Francis "Fannie" Myrtle Keys LeForce

    Fannie Myrtle, daughter of Monroe Calvin & Lucy Lowrey (Hoyt) Keys, was born in the Choctaw Nation 11/5/1862. Educated in the Female Seminary & Northfield Seminary in Massachusetts. Married @ Vinita 9/11/1892 James Andy, son of John B. & Amanda (Blankenship) LeForce, born 12/26/1859. They are the parents of Flossie Mae b. 10/14/1893, graduated from Vinita high school in 1914, University of OK with an A. B. Degree in 1920. James Lowrey b. 1/31/1895, enlisted for the World War 9/28/1917, assigned to a machine gun company in 358 Machine Gun Co., 90th Division, & was in the offensive line from 9/12/1918 until the signing of the armistice, & was then with the army of occupation, was discharged at Camp Pike 6/21/1919. Married 6/19/1920 Lois Rachel Britton, their daughter was b. 3/3/21. Sarah Lottie b. 11/21/1897, graduated from Vinita high school in 1917, & is attending the University of OK. Charles William b. 11/9/1905.

    Mr. & Mrs. LeForce are members of the Presbyterian church. Her Cherokee name is Au-nah-hee. Mr. LeForce is a successful farmer & stockman.

    Note - this biography fails to mention daughter Rachel who died young. Most biographies fail to mention son John A.
