    Monroe Calvin Keys b. 9/15/1826 m. at Park Hill 5/31/1855 Lucy Lowrey Hoyt b. 9/16/1831. She graduated from the Female Seminary in 1854. He was a member of Capt. Benjamin Wisner Carter's Company in the confederate service. He d. 3/3/1881 & she d. 8/24/1912. They were the parents of Mary Eunice b. 5/31/1856, Lydia Emma b. 9/16/1858, Fannie Myrtle b. 11/5/1862, Sarah Ann b. 10/6/1865, Elizabeth Riley b. 1/13/1868, Monroe Amory b. 2/21/1870 & Lucy D. b. 3/31/1872. Mary Eunice m. 12/28/1875 Hamilton Balentine, son of Rev. Hamilton & Anna (Hoyt) Balentine, 4/18/1850. He d. 2/22/1900 & she d. 4/25/1920. They were the parents of Mary Eunice b. 5/4/1899 & Ellen Stella b. 5/5/1892. Mary Eunice was educated in Vinita & the Northeastern State Normal & is a teacher. Ellen Stella was educated in Vinita (Valentine's Business College graduate) & is a stenographer. Both of the sisters live with their maternal aunt Sarah Ann, who m. on 10/26/1887 John Samuel, son of John B. & Amanda (Blankenship) LeForce, b. 1/27/1864 in Indiana. Mrs. LeForce was educated in Worcester Academy & Female Seminary. Mr. & Mrs. LeForce are Methodists. He is a prosperous farmer & stockman at Vinita.

    Monroe & Lucy also had Arthur Richard.
